Who is Master Yoshi?

Master Yoshi or "Yosh" (as he was often called by his monasterial brethren) had been a Tibetan monk since the age of 20.  Master Yoshi lived in a monastery situated deep in the mountains of Tibet.  He lived a peaceful existance subsiting only on a diet of goats' milk and rice.  Each day he practiced the methods of transcendental meditation with the goal of reaching the highest level of consciousness.  Since Yoshi was a child, it was always his dream to levitate.  He could imagine himself being suspended in space only by the power of his thoughts.  For years Yoshi devoutly practiced his methods.  After 40 years of following methodic rituals to perfection, levitation illuded the great Yoshi.  Determinded to master his craft, he practiced the methodology of transcendental meditation 24 hours a day; fasting for weeks.  Even with this diligence, the great Yoshi never reached the highest plane of consciousness.  Moved by his persistence and meticulousness, Yoshi's monasterial brethren bestowed upon him the title of "Master".  Although Yoshi appreciated this kind gesture, he grew more and more desperate; knowing that time was working against him and his dream of levitation.  Beginning to question the methods and rituals he had been taught, Yoshi decided that it was time to broaden his horizons by leaving his homeland.  Yoshi knew that it was appropriate to take a sabbatical from the grueling regimen of his life.

On his 65th birthday, Yoshi boarded a plane for the United States.  Completely unknown to him, what awaited him in this new land would exceed all of Master Yoshi's expectations.  Saddened by the absence of his brethren, Master Yoshi knew that this time away would result in new and fresh forms of thinking.  Once in the U.S., Master Yoshi was amazed by what he saw.  Technology was everywhere and far surpassed his wildest dreams.  Both afraid and curious, he could feel that something special was going to happen.  Making his way East across the U.S., Yoshi decided to take an extended tour of the country's Midwest.  Comforted by the familiarity of the small towns that dotted the region, Yoshi was intrigued by a town with a unique name.  Chillicothe is a small town in the state of Ohio and Yoshi felt compelled to visit there.  Being a very spiritual being, Yoshi viewed this compulsion as a sign from beyond.  For some reason he knew that what he had been seeking his entire life existed there.

When Yoshi arrived in Chillicothe he was moved by the beauty of the area; he knew that he had arrived.  While looking for a place to rest his weary head, he witnessed something that would change his life forever.  On his way to the local church, Yoshi crossed the Scioto River.  As he casually looked over the bridge, he saw a being levitating above the water.  Yoshi lept from his seat pressing his face flat against the car's window.  Screaming at the driver to stop, he involuntarily opened the speeding car's door and flung himself to the pavement.  Somewhat dazed from the tumble, Yoshi brushed off his robe and ran to the bank of the river.  He couldn't believe his eyes.  Spending his entire life in deep meditation, he saw a being levitating as if there was no effort or concentration involved.  Yoshi fell to his knees and began to sob uncontrollably.  In his mind, he knew that it was only a matter of time before he would be levitating too.  As if he were a maniac, Yoshi began waving his arms erratically to catch the attention of the one who was levitating.  After many minutes, the levitating being saw the great Yoshi.  Fearing the worst, the hovercraft pilot came over and parked near Yoshi.  Master Yoshi just stood there as if he were in a catatonic state.  Once he was able to recover his wits, Yoshi approached the vehicle in amazement.  Giving him time to look over the vehicle, the hovercraft pilot asked the great Yoshi if he'd like a ride.  Almost afraid to enter the vehicle, Yoshi realized that his long wait to levitate was now over.  Taking a seat behind the pilot, Yoshi closed his eyes and gripped the seat tightly.  The motor's intensity grew and suddenly both the pilot and Yoshi were free of earth's grasp.  He slowly opened his eyes and began laughing uncontrollably.  Yoshi was finally realizing his dream of levitation.  It was so much easier than what he had been taught.  The hovercraft pilot took the craft from water to land and land to water without effort.  He increased the speed of the craft and levitated above the water at speeds in excess of 40 mph.  Yoshi's eyes were wide open; as well as his mouth.  The ride lasted for many minutes, but it seemed like only seconds to Yoshi.  When the craft settled back to the earth, the pilot hopped out and Yoshi slowly followed.  Not taking his eyes off of this wonderful levitating machine, Yoshi thanked the kind pilot for the ride.  Fearing he would never see the pilot again, Yoshi asked him how he could learn more about this incredible machine.  The pilot responded by saying that he could follow him to his place of business to learn more about them.  Yoshi became very excited about this new knowledge.  They arrived at the place where more of these machines were on display.  Yoshi was mystified by this beautiful site.  His heart began to beat faster and the giggle he had during his ride started to come back.  The nice pilot showed Yoshi how the hovercraft was able to levitate.  Yoshi was amazed.  Yoshi knew that he had found his calling.  Now all Yoshi wanted to do was to devote the rest of his life to the promotion of this exquisite technology.  Still feeling a sence of loyality to his monasterial brethren and his homeland, Yoshi knew that he would never be going home.  His home now was anywhere there were hovercraft.  Realizing that he wouldn't have his brethren or monastery to support him, Yoshi had to find some form of employment to sustain him.  Expressing his love for hovercraft to the pilot, the pilot asked him if he'd like to help him sell hovercraft.  Yoshi thought he was in a dream.  Not only could he make money to live in this new land, but he could be around something he loved more than anything in the world.  Yoshi quickly accepted the pilot's kind offer.  Not forgetting his brethren back home, Yoshi wrote them and told of his discovery and adventures.  A statue of Yoshi was quickly erected at the monastery where many come from miles around to celebrate its splendor.  Yoshi has now reached the highest plane of consciousness.

So this is how Yoshi came to be associated with Air Cushion Sports.  Finally realizing his dream after the majority of his life had been lived, Yoshi has the desire to help as many people as possible realize their dream of floating above the surface of the earth.  He now helps with the advertising and marketing of his favorite vehicle.  You'll see him from time to time on the website in ads.  He'll be working hard to invent new ways to encourage people to try the best way to levitate.
